The name of these conditioners came from English word “split” that means “separate”. Split-systems contain two blocks inside, placed in the premises and outside, and moved away on the street. For the reason that the noisiest unit, compressor, is moved away in the outward block, noise, created by the system is less than the similar unit in a window air conditioner.
